Faith and Fun Friday #3

Faith and Fun Friday #3

Haven’t joined the journey yet? Come on! Be sure and post a comment to THIS POST.

A Kingdom Woman's Prayer

Morning Kindreds!

It’s time again for prayer!

This week in Kingdom Woman Chapter 8, we read about the importance of prayer!  So  if you haven’t been able to practically exercise this muscle in your personal time this week… this is your opportunity!  If you have been praying, please continue doing so here and praying for other women who need to know that they are being lifted up by another.

We are praying for each other again ALL WEEKEND!

Here are the instructions for those of you who are joining us for the first time (or those of you who need a refresher!):

First, scroll to the end of the post to find the section for comments. Keep scrolling to the end of the comments to find the empty box where you can leave your prayer. Click “Post Comment”.

Then, look above you for the person who posted ahead of you. Hit “reply” and pray for them. That way we make sure that everyone gets covered! I do have a few friends from the #KWTeam to help me make sure that everyone gets prayed for so please don’t feel pressure if you don’t feel comfortable praying for the person above you or you feel that their request is above your spiritual “pay grade”. God will work it all out.

This week we are reading Chapters 4 through 8 of the Kingdom Woman book. If you missed this week’s “R&R” assignment you can get it by clicking HERE. We are talking about the commitment, faith, and prayer life of a Kingdom Woman.

Am I the only one who needs to be reminded on a regular basis to live a committed life,  keep the faith, or remember to prayer?  These Kingdom Woman wristbands are a good way to remember who I am and how that should be reflected in how I live.

I’d going to give a couple of these away today to help YOU be reminded of who you are!

In order to have an opportunity to win, you need to do two things. First make sure you comment in today’s post. We all need prayer right? Next share the following tweet…

If you are not on Twitter, you can go to my Facebook page and SHARE the giveaway post as well.

Oh! And please don’t forget to record your journey! Journal your thoughts on the book and journal your prayers. This way you will have a record of what God is teaching you, as well as a record of your requests when you realize that God has answered!

So excited about praying for you this weekend!

So honored to be on the Kingdom Woman journey with you!

Have an awesome weekend!

About the Book

  1. Katheryne September 20, 2013 at 11:50 am

Heavenly Father, what a joy it is to be able to come to you here with my Kingdom Kindreds. You are awesome! It is the end of a week that You brought us through with grace, mercy and Truth. We thank you for giving us the opportunity to be a part of Your Kingdom. Thank You Jesus for making that possible. A weekend is upon us where there will be activities and responsibilities that each of us need to tend to. LORD God, I ask that You would keep our minds focused on You by the power and presence of Your Spirit. Thank You Holy Spirit for keeping us in perfect peace. We love You Lord. We honor You with our first and best. When we falter, we run to You with abandon. You are God. You are our God and we love You. In Jesus’s Precious Name, Amen.

    • Courtney September 20, 2013 at 12:03 pm

Katheryne, thank you for that beautiful prayer! I’m praying for you today! I thank God for you; and thank Him for allowing us to travel on this beautiful journey. May God continue to use you to be a light in this dark world. God, provide all my sister’s needs today. Bless her, comfort her, keep her, and exult her. I pray these things in Your Son Jesus’ name. AMEN!

      • Katheryne September 20, 2013 at 4:52 pm

You’re welcome Courtney. Thank you as well for your prayer. Your family will continue to be in my prayers. God is able. Fix your eyes on Jesus. He leads us beside still waters. Hugs…

  2. Courtney September 20, 2013 at 11:58 am

Happy Friday! I’ll start this off my saying I’m praying for Chrystal and Dr. Evans as they continue to uplift and enlighten us on this Kingdom Woman journey! I’m praying that God will provide each of my sisters’ needs. I’m asking you all to pray for my family in Houston. It’s now week 16 my cousin has been missing. The outcome doesn’t look great, but God is able! Also, will you pray for my family in Los Angeles. My cousin had a terrible car accident in April that killed his brother and their girlfriends. A car pulled out in front of him. He tried to miss the car and hit a concrete pole. He was ejected and his brother and their girlfriends burned to death in car. The car exploded on impact. Now the state of California wants to charge him with manslaughter. He’s only 21. And I’m thanking God for blessing me to almost seeing another year! Lord’s will I will be 31 on Sunday. Also, He blessed me with the job at UTA, which I’ll start Monday! I’m so nervous and afraid. Change is good, but it scares me! Please pray for my strength and have a positive attitude!

    • Diana September 20, 2013 at 12:21 pm

Lord I thank you for allowing me Courthey’s paths to cross. I lift her family up before you and ask that you protect her missing cousin and bring her home safely. I ask that you give her family the strength to endure this situation that they are going through right now and let them you that you are with them. I thank you for keeping Courtney for 31 years and for blessing her with a new job. I ask that you help her to embrace this season of change and help her to keep a positive attitude through it all. In Jesus name, Amen.

      • Courtney September 20, 2013 at 4:56 pm

Thank you my sweet sister! God bless you!

Father, I come to you with a bowed head and humble heart. I come standing in the gap for my dear sister, Diana. Father I pray you will help her stay on this Kingdom Woman journey. Even if she stumbles or the road gets hard, help her to hang in there. Let her know Father that she has online sisters that are lifting her up in prayer and are her cheering her on! Please help her to forget the old ways and remind her of 2 Corinthians 5:17. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, she is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Father, help her to keep her palms up to receive all the blessing you have in store for her.
I pray all of these things in Your Son Jesus’ name. AMEN!

        • Diana September 20, 2013 at 8:06 pm

Thank you for that prayer Courtney. You have no idea how much I needed that. God bless you!

    • jenn September 20, 2013 at 12:57 pm

Dear father, I come to you toady to ask for protection and comfort for Courtney’s cousin. What a tragic thing that has touched so many lives. I pray for all involved to have a comfort and peace that only you can provide. And if any of them don’t have a personal relationship with you as Lord and savior , I pray that they will seek you and know your peace through this very difficult season.
I also pray for her family in Houston and ask that you will bring her cousin home to his family.
Lord, you are over all of the things in our lives and I ask that you will continue to be with Courtney in all areas of her life and give her strength , comfort and peace . I pray all of these in the precious name of Jesus !

      • Machelle September 20, 2013 at 6:04 pm

Father I join in agreement with Jenn your word says that In all things God will workout for the good those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. And in the midst of this family I pray a hedge of protection will surround this family.

    • tammy September 20, 2013 at 6:14 pm

Lord, Please be with Courtney and her family. I pray you find her cousin Lord Jesus. I pray you give them a peace that only You can bring Heavenly Father. Please be with the young man who was in a car accident. Let the truth come out and show the courts who he is. With man this seems impossible; with You Lord, all things are possible. You say ask in My name and you shall receive. Lord we are asking in your name to help this family and answer their prays. This is a hard time for them and they need Your comfort through all of this You are the Abba of help. We know we don’t deserve it, but also know you died on the cross for our sins. Thank you Lord Jesus! 🙂 Amen

  3. Diana September 20, 2013 at 12:11 pm

Heavenly Father, I ask that you forgive me of all my sins and transgressions. I thank your for placing me on this path to become a Kingdom Woman. I ask that you bless all the women on this journey with me that we are able to fullfill the purpose that you have placed in us. Help us to overcome any obstacles that are place before us. Remove those people/things that may be distracting us. Let our light shine and draw others close to you. I ask that you protect and keep us and we continue on this journey. Thank you for all your have done and are going to do, in Jesus name Amen.

  5. Machelle September 20, 2013 at 5:54 pm

Good Evening Fellow Kingdom Women.. My prayer this evening is that I continue in this vein of study, Since the One Month Journey I have had the “more than usual” interest to study my word. I thank God for His revelation knowledge. I also ask for prayer tomorrow regarding our Kick off Women’s Ministry small group discussion ( we just so happen to be discussing Kingdom Women-a decision we made earlier this year) that every woman attending would leave with a specific word that will carry them their open journey.

    • Katie Hartshorn September 20, 2013 at 6:17 pm

Lord I thank you for Machelle and for what you are doing in her life and how you are revealing yourself as she seeks more of you. I ask that you would continue to show her who you are and where you are leading her! As she joins with her friends to study your word and “Kingdom Woman” I ask that you would work like only you can, reveal yourself to these ladies and let them be changed by your word! I pray that every woman that enters this group will know that you have something special for her. Thank you for your faithfulness and for what you are doing in each of us! Amen!

    • tammy September 20, 2013 at 6:24 pm

Our Dear Lord, Please be with Machelle and her journey to be more like you. I pray the study beginning that many woman will see You and know You Lord. I pray thank you for Machelle and her studies. Thank you Lord and bless her for putting you first. May we all learn how important your word and studying it and praying for each other is. Machelle is your child Lord Jesus. Be with her on her adventures in You. May she hear what You have to say to her and Keep satan far from her. In Jesus matchless name we pray! Amen

  7. Tasha September 20, 2013 at 7:50 pm

Please pray for my children’s safety. They each have jobs near the hotel we are living at but have to walk to work because we only have one vehicle. Yesterday two men followed my daughter while walking home from work. I had to leave work to pick her up and we had to call the police. They could not find the men. However these young men have been sexually harassing her when they go in to her job to order food. Please also pray we can find her a reliable yet affordable vehicle so she doesn’t have to walk again. Also, the vehicle we do have is essentially a stolen vehicle. It was to be repossessed months ago. Only God can explain why it hasn’t been. Please pray for my finances that I will be able to afford a vehicle soon debt free and that we can move from the hotel into a nice but affordable rental house soon.
Sometimes I just feel like my prayers are always asking for something thus the reason I stopped praying so long ago.

    • tammy September 20, 2013 at 8:25 pm

Our Heavenly Father , Please hear Tasha’s pray. Protect her and her children. Put Your army of angels around them. Help them and provide for them. You remind us in the Psalms that you feed the sparrow and love us much more so will do more for us. Please do more for Tasha. Let her not be afraid that she is asking for too much because to You, there is never to much. You love us enough to keep showing us by giving, even in giving Your Son. Lord let these men that are harassing her daughter be caught. Let justice be done. We know you love us more than we can imagine. You want more for us. Tasha is following You. please guide her to a new, safer and better home. Lord we ask that you provide another car for them. Thank you that they have the car they have. Let them see Your glory and keep praising you. Thank you God almighty for hearing our prays. It is in Jesus glorious name Amen

      • Tasha September 20, 2013 at 9:11 pm

        Thank You Tammy!!!

    • Carla September 20, 2013 at 8:32 pm

Father thank you for giving Tasha the courage to share her request. Lord I pray with thanksgiving for the protection and provision you have already given this family. I ask in faith that you since you have already given the angels charge over their protection, that You thwart the plan of the enemy against this family.Take captive the thoughts of those young men who would try to harm and harass through word or deed and make them obey at your command. Show yourself strong and visible to Tasha and her family so that they continue to put their trust in you and how you orchestrate the answers to their prayers. Give them wisdom as you meet their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Keep Tasha from losing hope in your power, Remind her that you are above all and know the victory she has already won before she arrives at the place you have prepared just for her. Remind her that Satan’s job is to steal, kill and destroy but you came to give us life abundantly. Give her peace in the midst of this seemingly Goliath storm in her life. Remind her that the battle is not hers but yours. Let all of our prayers hold her up in her moments of discouragement. Give life to her dreams, hopes and prayers that they may bring light to darkness and glorify your name. In Jesus’ name

      • Tasha September 20, 2013 at 9:11 pm

Father I come to you on behalf of Carla. There is power in your word and it’s Your Word that propels these prayers forward. Lord God it is with an open heart that I ask you to shower Your blessings and favor upon my sister and show her that because she shares Your goodness horizontally she can enjoy Your blessings vertically. Thanking You in advance for what You’re doing, have done and are going to do in Carla’s life! In Jesus’ name AMEN!

  9. Raquel September 21, 2013 at 3:14 pm

Father God thank you for the work you are doing in all these Kingdom Woman lives. Thank you for letting me be a part this journey. Today I pray for Tasha. She needs financial provision and protection for her children. I know you already know her needs You see her and You love her and I know You are working great things in her life that may not been seen yet. Give her the strength and endurance to keep pressing on and trusting in You. When her prayers seemed unanswered or she’s getting discouraged in the waiting, show her how you have worked in her past and how you’ve always been with her and You are with her now. I pray her heart remains soft and lifted toward you so she can praise you through all these circumstances. We expect great things from you God because you are good. All the time.

  16. Wendy Garner September 22, 2013 at 12:58 pm

Today I have many requests. 🙂 I am currently in a detour that I do not want to be in. Oh that does not sound good. I really don’t mind being in the detour because I know that God is working and He always brings good results. I just don’t like how God has chosen to handle the detour path. I really try to be understanding. I try not to ask questions and just accept it. I even see good that has come out of the detour being handled the way it is. I guess the part that gets me is I don’t understand why it has to be handled this way. That is where a lot of frustration comes from. I am having a hard time discerning the voice of God because it “seems” that I say one thing through technology and 15 things are said after me that really leads to confusion and uncertainty. I know that everything that is being said is out of love and some is God but it is overwhelming. I am trying to focus and I find myself getting unfocused more and more. Maybe that is one thing He is trying to teach me…strengthen my focus in technology, anyway, that is where my battle is. Discernment in the detour on the path God has chosen. Since I get so frustrated with the path He has chosen I lose patiences. I become self absorb. I get mad. While I want, sometimes I tell myself let’s just quit until it is all worked out. I have trouble staying focus on work. Staying focus on my priority’s right now in my life. I “feel” like a basket case and I want order back in my home life. I have come to realize that my home life is not going to be in order until these detours are over. See this is what is eating at me. Then I want to blame someone and who wants to blame God? I sure don’t want to put myself in that boat. 🙂 So I blame other things.(not good I know) I fully understand detours have purpose even when I don’t like it, it is everything above I mentioned that I am having problems with. Please pray for me however, you are lead.

    • tammy September 22, 2013 at 3:13 pm

      Our Heavenly Father,
We don’t always know the paths you lead us on. We know that when we are in the dark and have a flashlight to keep walking not knowing where we are going. The awesome thing is, You know where we are going and it’s much better than we expect. Please help Wendy to stay focused in her work and where You are leading her. Show her Your love so that she knows You know her needs. It is hard for us to go on a path that has challenges but the challenges is what refines us. Thank you for Wendy being able to see that You are a part of what is going on in her life. Help her to leave the anger and accept her path. Help Wendy to have a calm in learning and pave the way for better things Lord. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen

Wendy a great book is Unglued. by Lysa Terkeurst will keep praying for you all week! Tammy

  17. Shellye September 22, 2013 at 1:47 pm

Lord, I bring Wendy before you now. Lord, You say in Your word that Your ways are not our ways and that we should not lean to our own understanding. Although at times it is difficult to be calm in the midst of what seems to be sheer chaos and confusion, Lord, I pray You will assure Wendy that You are not the author of confusion and that ALL things are working together for her good. Give her a sense of peace within her mind, Lord. Allow her to fully trust that You’re not going to give her more than she can bear. Lord, walk beside her, protect her mind and her heart from discouragement. Give her a word from You that she will clearly know is You and not some outside influence. In Psalms 23, You said You are her shepherd ans she shall not want. Even in the valley if the shadow of death, Lord, You are her shield and protection. In Jeremiah 29:11, You said You know the plans You have for her. Help her to stand fast, Lord, in the many promises You’ve made to her in Your word. Help her to remember You don’t break promises and that what You are doing is in her best interest, for her good, and for Your glory! Lord, You give us detours to test us, develop us, and train us. Help Wendy pass the test so she can grow in her faith and use her testimony to help others. Lastly, Lord, I ask You to bring a godly sister alongside Wendy to pray with her and encourage her on a consistent basis so that she will never feel alone as she goes through this season of her life. Please continue to be with her. In Your son Jesus’ name. Amen. #KW Team

  18. Frances September 22, 2013 at 2:24 pm

Please pray for the Lord to open a door for a school counseling job- finished my masters degree last december- and still waiting! Also- please pray for son Bryan- he is serving over seas in the military and has told us he doesn’t believe in God anymore- and rejects his Christian upbringing-please pray for him!!!

    • Shellye September 22, 2013 at 7:24 pm

Father God, I bring my sister Frances before you. Lord, I pray that You would open up a door of opportunity for her in her career. Lord, please help her find the school that is a match for her skills as well as her personality so that it will be a pleasant place for her to be. Lord, also, I pray a special prayer for Bryan. I pray that the seed that was planted long ago will prick him deep in his heart so that He will return to a belief in You and a right relationship with you. Lord, give Frances assurance that if she trained Bryan up in the way he should go, he may drift away for a time, but that training, that truth will never depart from him and like the prodigal son, he will return to You in due season. Help her to continue to pray without ceasing for her son and for his protection, both physically and spiritually. Lord, You know all things and You can do all things. I pray and ask all theses things in Your son’s precious name. Amen.

    • Chrystal September 22, 2013 at 8:26 pm

Bless Frances with the perfect job, just for her! Help her to see in this situation in her life that your timing is perfect. 🙂

  19. Kyaunnee Richardson September 22, 2013 at 8:33 pm

    Dear Father in heaven,

I thank you for this day. I thank you for life, health, strength and all the blessings you have bestowed upon myself and my sisters here. I ask you to be with each and everyone of them. Protect them, guide and lead them in the way everlasting, in Jesus’ name. Crown each of their heads with your wisdom and your knowledge. Cover them each under the blood of Jesus where the enemy cannot come in. I bind every demonic spirit and every evil force that tries to rear its ugly head and cast into the bottomless pits of hell. I loose every good and perfect gift from above Father, right now in the name of Jesus. And all that you see that we all stand in the need of Father, grant it unto us. Lord, Thank you once again for the wonderful time that we had praying for each other. Thank you for the desires that were spoken (or typed) and for those that went unmentioned. We trust that you are able and willing to answer.
