Do you feel like you are either getting everything right or everything wrong? Or perhaps you feel like you are running out of time to do all the things you desire to do?

The truth is we often tend to force ourselves into extreme categories. We demand excellence and rarely give ourselves the grace we need to live in the middle. And yet, there are times when living in the middle of getting everything done and getting nothing done is exactly where we belong!

You don’t have to have big ambitions or big dreams.

You don’t have to be the superhero for everyone you encounter.

And you don’t have to prioritize based on the expectations of others.

You can live in the truth of really caring about some things, being really good at some things, and seeking after some things, while also choosing to let other things go and not care about them at all or as much.

You can choose to freely be you!

Kendra Adachi joins me in The Circle to teach us that it is okay to be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don’t. Kendra is a wife, mother, author, podcaster and founder of The Lazy Genius Collective. She knows all too well what it feels like to try and do all the things perfect for all the people. And how living in that space can cause you to crash, burn and spiral to the complete opposite end of the spectrum where you decide nothing matters and disengage from everything.

The answer? Being a Lazy Genius

Join Kendra and I as we dig into how to live life in the expanse between being lazy and being a genius by:

  • Embracing the help you have
  • Putting everything in its place
  • Learning how to pivot from the plan

How we spend our time defines how we live our life.

There is no moral value to the number of people we influence or appease. You can find your way to doing the thing that matter to you with ease. Here are some guidelines to follow:

If it matters to you, then do it. If it doesn’t then it’s time to let it go. Set the plan aside. In fact, set everything aside. And then one by one, pick up each task, each area, each plan… look at it… and put it in its rightful place.

Either you focus in and become a genius at it or you let it go for someone else to embrace.

God doesn’t want you to be great at everything.

He wants you to be great at THE thing. The thing that matters to your heart.

So, dear friend, what makes your heart sing? What is your passion? What gives you a sense of purpose and meaning in life?

Do more of that.

It’s time to make peace with not being a genius everywhere and allow yourself to just be a genius where it matters.
