I’ve had the opportunity in the last few weeks to share my thoughts in a few different places online.

Just in case you missed them, I thought I’d point you in the direction of a little encouragement.

Encouragement #1

Today you can read my first post at Proverbs31.org.  Are you living your life for the approval of others? That’s something I’ve struggled with and I’m being honest about it in today’s post. I grabbed a glass of water and rested my hip on the side of the kitchen counter to watch my birthday boy work. He scrubbed on that dish for more than a minute.

That dish wasn’t just clean, it was sterile, sanitized and thoroughly decontaminated.

Unknowingly, he sat down next to me on a ride that was supposed to be fun and provide a thrill.  Seconds later, my son realized that part of the ride involved a yucky feeling in his stomach and a spinning motion in his head.

He cried out.

He hollered.

He begged me to get him off the ride.

In those moments, he experienced great uncertainty about his decision to get on the ride in the first place.

Sometimes marriage is just like that…

Today, I pray that you know you are loved by God.
