Have you ever found yourself second guessing yourself? Do you frequently question and doubt your decisions? Well, you are not alone…

I am currently in a major second guessing situation. 

My social media is shut down. People in my family have gotten sick. I’ve been functioning on no sleep. Right now the feeling I have is… “If it could’ve gone wrong this week, it did!” When things are more difficult than normal I often find myself wondering…

“Are these difficulties blocks or interruptions?”

“Am I supposed to press through or bail out?” 

“Is God inviting me to press through or telling me to cease activity?”

We all have times in our lives like this – some of us more than others.

Maybe you are second guessing yourself because times are hard, but you could be second guessing yourself because your past decisions haven’t been the best! It’s possible that you now distrust yourself because you doubt your ability to make the right choices. If you are like me, you might be a recovering perfectionist and fear one wrong decision could alter the course of the perfect life you’ve written for yourself in your mind. 

Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum of doubt, I have something to tell you… 

Indecisiveness gets you nowhere. It’s also  a complete waste of energy and brain space! 

So how do we get out of this harmful cycle?

In this episode I delve into how to combat this disease of a doubting mindset. There are four  ways to achieve a confident and secure way of decision making.

  1. Give yourself grace.
  2. Notice the doubt!
  3. Interrupt the negative thoughts.
  4. Redirect your thoughts.

These four simple steps and the additional encouragement I provide in this episode can help you overcome self-doubt.

Listen, I want you to be free!  I want you to live your life to its fullest capability. There simply isn’t room for both second guessing and freedom. In order for you to live free, self-doubt and second guessing must go. 

If you are a “second-guesser”, don’t feel bad. We all have something to work on and something we can grow in. Don’t forget that we’re on this journey together, okay?

And don’t forget to give yourself grace.
