Are you overwhelmed by the idea that you don’t know what your life’s purpose is? Do you find yourself worried that you may not ever fully become the woman God wants you to be? Have you felt as if you won’t be able to figure things out and live your life fully stewarding the resources God has blessed you with?

Over the years, I’ve encountered many people who are unsure of what their unique gifts are, or they may know what they are, but can’t seem to figure out how to mesh them together and put them to use. Sometimes when we see other people achieve something at a high level, we attribute it to them having something that we don’t have, but that is not the case.

Trillia Newbell is a wife, mom of two, speaker, author of several books. Trillia got saved in her twenties and learned early on of the importance of studying God’s Word and obeying His commands. She is very clear that her purpose, just like the rest of us, is to go and make disciples of all nations. Trillia also understands that the way in which we do that can vary. One of the ways that Trillia accomplishes discipleship is through writing.

Trillia always enjoyed writing but she didn’t set out to be well-known or to have the success that she has achieved in her writing career. She started by being faithful to write in obscurity. God opened doors and put her in spaces she never planned for or imagined. Trillia simply understood the importance of putting God first and believed that He would lead her in the way she should go. Trillia and I have a practical conversation about what it has looked like for God to order her steps and how He has tied some of the knots together in her life to bring her to where she is today.

Listen my friend, it’s okay if you don’t know exactly what your gifts are or what God has called you to do, but what is important is that you are willing to do the work of discovering them. It is very rare that God gives all of the details concerning what He has in store for you all at once; however, the great news is that He doesn’t just leave you hanging with no clue. One of the ways in which God reveals His purpose for you is by providing you with breadcrumbs to point you in the direction of the next step you are supposed to take. Following the breadcrumbs He leaves for you requires that you truly walk by faith and trust that the plans He has for your life are good.

It’s God’s job to take all of the different things in your life and put them together, so you don’t have to worry or fear if you don’t have all the answers. Be faithful to whatever God has called you to do, do it well, and have bold faith that He will grow it as He sees fit. As you listen to our conversation, my hope is that you will take time to look at what God has put in you and who He’s already called you to be. I pray you are encouraged to walk with confidence as God leads and guides you into the spaces that He has planned for you.
