Do you find that sometimes life is just too much?? There are bills to pay, relationships to mend, goals to reach, schedules to manage, and some days it can feel like a lot. The good news is that as a child of God and part of His royal family, you have access not only to peace but to the God of peace! God didn’t just send His Son to die for you so you could be with Him “someday” in Heaven. He also gave you “right now” access to the experience of abundant life! My new friend, Cassandra Speer, often uses the phrase “abundance is here” because she believes that abundance is the overflow of God’s goodness in all circumstances. When you choose to let God’s Word frame your perspective, you can experience life His way – a life of abundance.

When trials come your way, you get to choose how you will handle them. You can choose to ruminate in the chaos, or you can choose joy. You can choose to stop running your race or choose to endure and lean on God’s strength to help you through. When life gets tough, remember, the same spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead lives in YOU (Romans 8:11)! 

Not sure where to turn when life goes sideways? Ask God for wisdom. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Again, your God is an abundant God, and He is faithful to provide. He invites you to seek Him, and when you do, He promises that you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13). The life of a Christian is one of faith, and you get to choose! Choose life, my friend. 

Do you find yourself discouraged or struggling to move forward? Focus on your J.E.W.E.L.s! Choose joy. Stick it out when you don’t feel like it. Build your endurance. Ask God for wisdom. Walk with evident faith. You can stand firm! Live with a long-term view. I know it’s easy to get distracted and to feel weighed down with worry, but your current circumstances don’t have the final say about what you see in your future! When you choose to live your life with intentionality, you will find that it gets a little easier to navigate.

You have a beautiful life to live and only you can live it. God is on your side! Accept your position as a daughter of the King and embrace the authority He has given you to walk in power.
