We’ve all faced a difficult situation at some point in time. Those pounds are hard to lose! You have tried so hard but they just won’t come off even though you’ve tried every diet under the moon. Your boss at work is rude and disrespectful when addressing you. They also fail to value your contributions to the team and honor your boundaries when you are not at work. Your friendship with her is full of friction right now. She calls you every time she needs something but rarely does she listen to your advice! She is never around when you need to talk.

Are you supposed to remain faithful and consistent despite the parts of life or the people in your life that make things hard for you? Let’s talk about what it looks like to Stick It Out through hard circumstances.

Every difficult situation is an opportunity for growth. Usually when something feels too hard, our natural instinct is to get away from the challenge as fast as possible. Yet walking away is oftentimes not the best solution and, in the end, will only deprive us of an opportunity to learn and grow.

Let the hard thing teach you what it is meant to teach you.

Easy doesn’t mean best.

The easy response allows you to stay exactly how you are. It doesn’t challenge you to change. In fact, it doesn’t challenge you at all. That’s why it is easy! When you choose to keep showing up, you allow yourself to be pushed. You level up. You broaden your territory of knowledge. And you gain a new skill set even if the skill is simply how to continue to show up when life isn’t showing up for you.

I want you to hear me and hear my heart. Don’t cut your season of development short. If you will embrace every opportunity you have to learn something new, you will grow. You will develop. And, eyes have not seen nor have ears heard how God is going to use the things that seem discounted for you in your future life.

In Romans 8:28 we are reminded that “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them”. So rest assured, everything you pick up is gold.

Every skill.

Every lesson.

EVERYTHING.

God can and will use it all in the right season. Just hold it until God tells you how to use it.

Not sure how to Stick It Out? That’s why I’m here! I’ve got three practical steps to help you manage your time during difficult situations. Rather than quitting when things get hard, it’s time to hype yourself up and keep showing up.

Your growthrowth, your next level, and a stronger you are all waiting on the horizon…
