Do you know that as a daughter of the King, you are royalty?

Yes, you!

I know it’s easy to forget this truth in the hustle and bustle of daily life, but it’s one we need to hold onto.

Let’s be real. Life can be rough.  Along the way, many of us balance our daily responsibilities along with our battles with insecurity, doubt, and the weight of the world’s expectations. Sometimes, the challenges we face, combined with our perceived shortcomings, can make us feel less than worthy. That’s exactly when we need a spiritual joy bomb like Oneka McClellan to remind us that, regardless of our circumstances, we are daughters of THE King.

We are chosen, we are loved, and we are appointed for greatness!

The message is simple, but the implications are inexplicably profound.

Oneka McClellan is a writer, author, speaker, wife, and mother who also pastors Shoreline City Church alongside her husband, Earl. Her personal journey—growing up as an only child in a single-parent home—helped her learn early on to live with expectancy. Her mother created moments of anticipation for her, and those moments have shaped the way Oneka chooses to approach life: with hope, gratitude, and joy.

In this episode, Oneka joins me on the couch to share insights from her book, Born Royal: Overcoming Insecurity to Become the Woman God Says You Are. What I love about Oneka’s message is that it is not about perfection. Being royal doesn’t mean you’re untouched by struggle or pain; it’s knowing that no matter where you find yourself, the Creator of the universe is there with you!  It’s also knowing that He can use all of your story — the messy, the imperfect, and the broken for good. Oneka’s message is timeless, and her energy is infectious. She brings a clear word for the women of God: It’s time to walk boldly in the identity God has given you.

Remember this: God is not waiting for you to be perfect. He has already made you perfect through His sacrifice on Calvary (Hebrews 10:14).  You are His and in the process of being sanctified. So, no matter where you find yourself today, submit in full faith to your King, and He will take your hand and walk you into the fullness of who He’s called you to be.

As you listen to our conversation today, be encouraged to live in joyful expectancy. No matter what life throws at you, you can stand tall because you belong to the King.  You can stand firm in every season, wearing your crown with grit and grace. Hold onto that truth today, and let it fuel your confidence as you walk boldly into the future He has prepared for you. Remember, royalty isn’t just about the palace, it’s about the battlefield, too.

And you, my friend, are being prepared for both.
