Is the Lord calling you to pivot in this season of your life?

You may have a specific outcome in mind for your life, but when things look differently than you hoped, it may be a chance to step out of your comfort zone and step into faith.

Listen, sometimes you must go with the flow of life and trust that God has your best interest at heart.

Along your journey, you may find yourself unsure of what to do next. But that, my friend, is just the time to surrender the next chapter of your story to the Author himself.

You see, a pivot in your life might actually be God calling you to depend on Him. If you’re in the middle of a shift, take this time to lean on God and His promises for you.

When Melody Alisa followed God’s lead to make a pivot with her YouTube content, it changed the trajectory of her channel forever. What began as a video diary of her experience teaching abroad in Korea became an opportunity to pour into women from all walks of life striving to strengthen their relationship with the Father. But it began with her sharing her testimony with her audience, a major step of faith.

In this episode of The Sister Circle Podcast, Melody Alisa sat down with me for an encouraging conversation about her journey as a content creator and:

  • Finding freedom from perfectionism
  • Being present in parenthood
  • Prioritizing time with God
  • Evolving as a content creator

Every now and again, God may give you a glimpse into why things unfold the way they do. It may be for your protection, or it may be that something greater is on the horizon.

But there are times when God calls us to take a step of faith without us ever knowing the reason why.

And that, my friend, is why it’s so important to seek the Lord. Scripture puts it this way, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8.

Ask Him for guidance on when to keep pressing toward a thing and when to let go. I’m talking about the big decisions in your life and the small ones, too.

This season might require you to pivot in how you show up for your life.

Do you need to shift your goals so that you can focus on being present for your family? Are you being called to pivot from a full calendar to a quiet life? Maybe you just need other people to step in and fill in the gaps where you feel stretched thin.

I pray that God gives you the courage to shift whatever you need to in this season of your life.

Freedom comes from surrendering your plans to the One who knows how your story begins and ends. Even when you can’t see how all the pieces of your life fit together, God has a plan for it all.
