Do you know what it is to fully live your life?  One of my goals in creating the content I share is to make sure that YOU are living a life that you love. Recently, I sat down for an in-person discussion with a dear friend who has had an experience of, what some may call, a lifetime.

What if the dreams that are you in your heart CAN come true? What if your desire can come to pass with some solid planning and also connected to God’s perfect timing?

Nicole Staples just got back from a nine month trip to Europe. What started out as a plan to visit for five to six weeks quickly turned into much more. Nicole nurtured her dream after it got stirred by a few different conversations with friends. As she noodled the possibility of her visit across an ocean away, her thoughts, research, and notebook helped give shape to thoughts that gave birth to a plan.

Nicole calls herself a calculated risk taker. While many could look at her adventure as risky, to Nicole, it was more about tackling unknowns – unknowns she later discovered she was fully equipped to encounter.

You too, my friend, are equipped for the unknowns of your life.

It’s impossible to know the exact details and circumstances that an easy or a hard day will bring, but we have comfort in following the One who knows it all. Your job isn’t to have a fully complete lineup of contingency plans but instead to rest in the truth that your Father has got your back! Deuteronomy 31:6 says, Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

So, what is the dream in your heart?

What does it look like for you to be alive and fully living your life?

I had the pleasure of watching Nicole explore the beauty of Europe because I could flip through her Instagram profile and see what she was sharing of her life.  The one thing that stood out to me as I scrolled? Nicole was doing the work of living her life!  That realization made me ask myself, “Am I living”? Am I going after the things God has placed in my heart? Am I taking “calculated risks” and embracing the beauty in front of me?

Am I living a life I love?

I hope my conversation with Nicole will make you ask yourself, “Are you living a life you love?”

Your dream may not be to go on a long adventure to Europe, but I believe whatever dream is currently incubated in your heart will require the same amount of faith to step out of your comfort zone to experience it.

Your life is worth living, my friend.

So what do you say? How can you come awake and live this beautiful life you’ve been given?
