Podcast: Play in new window
Have you ever wondered if your dreams had meaning? Do you ever think about how your life connects with the supernatural? Have you ever had an encounter with God that left you in awe of how intimately involved He is in your life?
In other countries, it is often the norm to teach about the supernatural. However, in the U.S. it can be seen as taboo to focus too much on spiritual things. We can become hyper-focused on living our life and living it comfortably. And that focus makes us void of the reality that our life was created for a purpose. A purpose, that if not walked out in our daily living, will leave an emptiness and void we are unable to fill.
What’s more, there is one who desires to see us miss the mark. And we can become a victim of satan’s agenda without even knowing it. Our thoughts, what we watch, and what we listen to all influence our connection with God. Yet, if we tap into the deep things of God, the Holy Spirit will equip us to be all that God has called us to be. We can learn to worship the one who created us and as a result we start to ask God who we are, what He has called us to do and how He has called us to partner with Him.
Stephanie Ike is no stranger to leaning into the power of the Holy Spirit and speaking about the spiritual realm. Stephanie, a native Nigerian, is the Executive Pastor at One Church in LA, an author, and a soon-to-be mom. Stephanie’s heart is to serve God’s people. And one way she does this is through her podcast, The Same Room, where she strives to merge faith and culture.
Stephanie’s current sermon series, The Modernization of Witchcraft, is meant to help others understand that God can use everything for your good but it doesn’t mean that everything He uses was orchestrated by him. She believes we can better navigate the schemes of the enemy when we:
- Create space to encounter God
- Are careful about what we absorb
- Understand how to build the kingdom
There is a spiritual realm that exists whether we acknowledge it or not. And we are either operating in a way that helps build God’s spiritual kingdom or the enemy’s. We cannot always see and interpret what is happening, but God can. If you recognize every moment as holy then you can always encounter God and create an opportunity for Him to give you instruction, leave you wisdom and provide clarity for your path.
Invite the experience of the fullness of God.
Embrace the encounter God offers.
And remember everything is ignited through faith.
