Podcast: Play in new window
Are you waiting on God to do the thing in your life?
Many times, we put all our faith in God and trust him to do everything. We believe he will do something big for us. We talk about him doing it, but we don’t take action to ensure it gets done. Instead, we keep doing what we’ve always done because it’s working. It feels right. It is bringing us success right where we are. And let’s not talk about what we had to walk through to get to this point.
Well Marshawn Evans Daniels calls this living in our shadow. And she is on a mission to get women to abide in God’s shadow and not their own. She desires for women to lean into their ambition and not be afraid of entrepreneurship. Marshawn is a best-selling author, millionaire business mentor, T.V. personality and reinvention strategist. In her membership group, The Destiny Collective, she teaches women how to reinvent themselves with the simple principle: what you believe you build, what you doubt you delay.
It’s perfectly normal to find yourself in a season of striving. We all experience this. We become so busy just “doing the thing”, we completely forget why we started doing it in the first place. The key is to recognize it when you lose sight of your fully alive self and choose to refocus on God and what he desires.
Walking confidently in your life will require you to develop the skill of building the desire of your heart. Marshawn and I dig deeper into how to do this very thing. Join us as we discuss:
- Giving ourselves grace
- Abiding in God’s shadow
- Walking in a Godly Confidence
It’s time for us to stop letting the successes and failures of our past dictate where we put our energy today. God desires to take us to new levels and experiences. But this requires us to live on the edge and understand the execution of God’s plans will change based on the season of life we are in. And we have to be willing to change with them.
We have to build our lives out of the vision of what God says he will do. Not out of the memory of what he has done. We must walk in his shadow as he takes us to new places. And step out of the shadow of where we’ve been and where we are. So, dear sisters,
Whose shadow are you abiding in?
