Do you have someone in your corner? You know, that person who can both cheer you on yet also call you out on your business? That role shouldn’t be for many people in your life, but when you find that trustworthy someone, they are to be treasured for sure. 

My guest for this episode is one of those people. Chanda Stegall, THE friend of The Sister Circle Team, joins me on the podcast to share about the power of community in her own life and how even when your experiences and passions feel random, you just have to keep going. “You don’t have to know today how it will work out tomorrow. Just do what’s in front of you today.” 

Have you ever looked at the passions and gifts you have and think to yourself, now that’s random! That is how Chanda has felt about her own life too. But your life is not random, my friend. You are not an accident or an afterthought, but were knit together with intention. Sometimes it can be hard to see the connection of it all in our own lives, but that is why we need community. It’s the people in our lives that help call out the gift of God in us and encourage us to see how the pieces are connected.

Chanda may be someone with many interests and talents, but the resounding theme of her life has been her ability to bring people together and create a space for them to belong. Everywhere she goes whether it has been as an employee, friend, mom, or co-worker she is always finding a way to gather people. That’s the thread. 

What is the thread in your own life? Do you have someone in your corner to help you find the connection when uncertainty is clouding your view? Good friends can be hard to come by, especially as you get older into adulthood, but can I encourage you today? Community is worth the risk. Finding the thread of connection in your life is worth the risk. Living a life you love and following the path that God has laid out for you is worth the risk. For that is when you truly come alive – when saying “yes” to your loving Father God.
