Have you ever found yourself in a situation that was completely unexpected?  One thing we know is that the unexpected will come our way. Life will throw us curve balls and try to “hack” our plans, but that doesn’t mean we have to be unprepared for those moments. You see, the things on this earth were not designed to last, but we can do the work now to get prepared and live ready for when life does what it is going to do.

I want to encourage you in this – don’t wait until you have a problem to get prepared because what I have learned is that if you don’t have time to do it right, you don’t have time to do it over.  There is nothing quite like a computer crash coming your way and knowing you could have had a backup, but don’t. The good news is that we can get ready now! In today’s episode I talk about a few ways you can prepare:

  1. Save for a rainy day
  2. Keep your records updated
  3. Live ready
  4. Live for legacy
  5. Love well

While preparation takes effort, time, and discipline, you have been given everything you need to prepare. When you prepare you increase your power through gaining clarity and perspective. You no longer have to sweat the small stuff because you have done the work ahead of time.

What does it look like for you to have a backup plan and prepare well? Don’t wait for the rain to come to start building the boat. Choose today to get ready and live well. And when life does what it does, you can be wise, prepared, and ready to go. You will have “backed that thing up”!
