Sarah is a wife and homeschooling mother of 6. Today, I’m talking with her today about the importance of reading aloud to your children. Sarah gives some great insight on the benefits of reading aloud, shares some helpful resources and gives some practical tips to creating a plan that will work for both you and your children for reading aloud.

Whether this is something you’re just getting started with, continuing and what to fine tune or if you’re just curious, I believe this podcast will be helpful to you. Even if you don’t have children, I confident that there are children in your life that would be greatly benefited from someone reading to them.

Like Sarah, I’m encouraging you to grab a book off the shelf, set aside ten minutes and read aloud with your child or a child who could use your love. Just see what happen. I bet both the reader and the listener will be helped.

Let’s Talk!

  • Do you read aloud to your children?  What benefits have you seen from doing so?
  • What are your favorite read aloud books and for children of what age?
  • What other activities do you do with your kids that help form shared memories?
  • Have a question you’d like for me to answer on a future podcast? Share it question with me HERE.
