~ #KingdomWoman One Month Journey! ~
A Welcome from Dad and I…
Today is the KICKOFF of our journey and the first of FIVE Kingdom Woman Wednesdays. The goal of our One Month Journey together is not only to read and discuss Kingdom Woman but also to apply principles found in Kingdom Woman so that we can activate change in our lives!
On each of the Wednesday posts, I’ll share some thoughts with you about where we are headed and then give you a little “R&R”, that is… your assignment for reading and reflection. I love the idea of talking to you via video, so I might do that too every now and again, but you can at least know that your “R&R” will be here in black and white for convenient reference.
OK, Kingdom Woman Kindreds! Here goes!…
Please read the following instructions carefully and then watch the video!
- READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU RESPOND TO TODAY’S “R&R”.
- Be sure and post a comment to today’s post. That will let me know you are HERE!
- Make sure I can “see” you! Go to Gravatar.com so I can see your face in the comments! (It’s easy! Just click on the green button labeled “Get your gravatar today” )
- Are you going SOLO? Be sure and respond to the posts with a comment! The rest of your “Kingdom Kindreds” will be your group! Also, by doing your part in sharing your answers here, you will be actively participating in the journey and the experience will be richer for you. You are not alone! Your voice (comment) matters!
- Are you reading on the journey with a GROUP of girlfriends? Even if you read and discuss with your “in-real-life” friends, be sure and share some (or all) of your “journey goodness” with us here as well! We want to benefit from your “journey juice” too!
- When you post a comment today, identify yourself by: first name, city, state, (and country if not the USA), whether you are going solo or participating in a small group. THEN respond to your reflection questions. Here’a a sample comment to give you a visual: Chrystal, Dallas, Texas, Solo, Answer #1, #2, etc…
- Once you comment for yourself, feel free to reply to any comment that you see in the thread. Let’s encourage each other!
-
And just for today! Your comment will enter you to win a Kingdom Woman book for a friend and a Kingdom Woman Tote Bag for yourself! I’ll select a winner at random.
A little more “Welcome” from me!
~ Today’s “R&R” ~
Reflection Assignment
Every week you will have an assignment to reflect on the previous week’s reading.
Since we don’t have a previous week’s reading yet, today w are going to have fun!
- If you were on the stage at Madison Square Gardens standing in front of thousands and thousands of people, and you could perform (and perform well), any song in the world, what song would that be? (This can be serious or ridiculous.)
- In ten words or less, describe your present season. What comes to mind when you think about the life you are currently living? Here are a few ideas to get your juices flowing: young mom, single and satisfied, empty nester, on the path to big bucks, newly divorced, starving myself to death trying to lose weight, finding my faith, etc.
- Besides your mom, aunt, or grandmother, name a woman who has been a strong female role model for you. This can be someone you know personally… or not.
- Finish this sentence. “I will be a Kingdom Woman when I…”
- Feel free to comment on the video devotional regarding anything that resonated with you.

2) T-R-A-N-S-I-T-I-O-N. Not enough of me to go around.
3) Ce Ce Winans. She is classy, friendly, God-fearing, and successful. Love that she has used her talents and abilities for the Lord!
4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I consistently exercise discipline to take care of my temple.
Thank you so much for doing this and allowing the Lord to use you this way. I really need this and appreciate you being a yielded vessel.
Now about that song, SANG GIRL!!! LOL!!!
Brittany Carter, Dallas Tx Solo
1.) I would sing “Take Me to The King” By Mrs.Tamela Mann
2.) Satisfied Victorious Single Soccer Mom, Falling In Love with Jesus, Health/Exercise Fanatic
3.) Dr. Lois Evans, she is a living example of a Kingdom Women, through the support of Dr Evans ministry along with her involvement in other women’s ministries, her actions speaks volumes in her submission to God’s Word
4.) I will become a Kingdom Woman when I learn to whole heartily trust God.
Chrystal,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I attended the Desperate for Jesus conference and walked away feeling that I could conquer the world. The Kingdom Woman book along with this forum is sure to be a blessing in my life for my current season and the seasons to come. I look forward to the next month!
So glad you were ministered to at DFJ!
One quick question… How do you manage homeschooling during the day if you are a night owl!? Please share your secrets! I work nights and don’t get off until 5am and it takes all I have to iron feed and dress my kids for school…. Where do you find your energy??
Katie Arant, Mountainburg,AR, flying solo.
Would love to sing the hymn “One Day.” It was my momma’s favorite song b/c it is The Gospel all wrapped up in a song.
The best way to describe this season of my life would be growing spiritually and finding my place.
My best friend Carol is an amazing influence in my life. Despite the 20yr age difference she is a surrogate mother to me (my mother is already in heaven) we have the same sense of humor, I can be myself w/her and she doesn’t judge me, and she is an amazing christian role model.
I will be a kingdom woman when I have unwavering faith, stop trying to control every aspect of my life and trust Christ completely.
Lovie, Fort Worth, TX, Solo
1. If I could sing, I would sing Ooh Child, by the Five Stairsteps.
2. My current season is married forever, nest is emptying.
3. My role model is your sister Priscilla. When she gets on stage, I am in awe at her ease with speaking. I want to be her when I grow up.

Oh I forgot! I am happily married and will celebrate 23 years on October 7th!
Congratulations to you and your survival of a difficult time in your life. You are a living testimony.
Cheryl, Belleville, IL
1) That is tough because I CANNOT sing at all….as evident by the stranger at the gym who once said to me after I got off the treadmill (and didn’t realize I was singing out loud), he says:” well. I’m sure the Lord thought that sounded good…but the rest of us?????” HA!
With that being said, instead of singing, I would be the one to INTRODUCE the singers…now emceeing…THAT is something I can do…afterall, I love to talk!!!
2) Working on DISCIPLINE. I have not yet mastered this very important Biblical law…especially in eating. Struggling in that area….ALOT!
3) My grandmother. She is now several years deceased, but as a child, I learned from her the gift of service to others, how important it is to feed the hungry, and that importance of personal sacrifice so that others can be blessed.
4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I have mastered DISCIPLINE in ALL areas of my life that are undisciplined. Or at least..getting to the complete realization that I need Christ to be disciplined. Too many times, I wan to fix things myself or I will give my undisciplined areas to God, only to reach up and snatch it right back from Him. What’s that all about??? lol
Chrystal…thanks for doing the video as you are….you are beautiful and I love that you acknowledged that you didn’t have to put on a perfectly made face or hair. That is real life for so many of us and I am glad you video’d as you are not as you want the world to perceive you! You Rocked it this morning, sista!!
ohhh…I forgot to say that me a couple girlfriends are doing this together.
Did a stranger really say that to you! Wow… Laughed outloud at your idea to introduce the singers. Discipline is my thing too.
yeah…he really did say that…of course he winked when he said it, so I was ok with it…because it’s true. HA!

You better sing that song girl!!!
4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I can consistently give God time on a daily basis regardless of my daily activities.
It’s a discipline to prioritize time with the Lord I know! We just gotta keep working at it right? 🙂
This is also a weakness of mine. I am supposed to set aside 20 minutes daily.. I’m good for a week but when the weekend comes.. It gets me every time! Glad this will help form discipline.. So along with the reading assignment I can add my daily devotional and put application to it.. I have learned the Bible is just another book without APPLICATION. We have to take and use God’s word for our everyday life and I love how you and your Dad do that.. And teach it in a way beginners can understand! Ok ok I could do this all night… Thanks once again for being transparent. It gives hope to women like me.. Instead of feeling convicted.. It’s a way to feel connected. Good to know I’m not the only one!
Hey there,
I’m just getting a chance to read all the comments from today. I also picked “Listen” as the song I would perform! 🙂
Good morning,

Each woman display strength and fortitude that I want to possess.
#4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I let go and understand that God is control not me.
Thank you for this book. You guys helping me in more ways than you will ever know. This is feeding to my soul.
I’m encouraged by hearing that the book is blessing you!
Hi Kimberly!
It’s great to see people from Alabama on this journey with me!

5. I tend to be very hard on myself, and always feel that I am lacking something. Hearing you say that it is ok not to be perfect, not to have my act together, was a great reminder that I need to take it easy! Thank You!

5) As I was listening to your video (I was multi-tasking) hearing you talk about how God knew me and loves me really caught my attention. I had to stop what I was doing the replay that section again.

3. I have a really great group of friends that mentor me in different ways. They each are unique and show me different things.
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when…I don’t know. I feel like I am one now because that is where my heart is. I know I can never be good enough, smart enough, and I’m always growing and trying to get better. So, I guess I would say while I’m growing I’m becoming that woman and until I’m gone and in heaven, I’ll be a kingdom woman on a journey to becoming the true Kingdom Woman. Silly but that’s what i’m thinking.
I like the fact that you said “beating Lyme disease” That statement has such faith and power in it. And the fact that you said you are growing into the Kingdom Woman. You get it. Love your outlook.
I admired the statement, “beating lyme disease” as well. I learned a lot about lyme disease last year when I met a lady with it…she was actually on a documentary they shot some years ago on it. I had NO IDEA before the severity of this disease, nor how many people are affected! God bless you!
My family has lots of experience with Lyme (my dad has it chronically, my sister used to have it, my cousin has it chronically, my uncle used to have it)… I “get” what you are going through. Prayers for you tonight 🙂

4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I can fully deny self, and totally trust God…. No questions asked! No matter how small or silly the request my be, I want to do it and not try to reason with it first. If He says go buy 1,200 mangoes and take them to the zoo, hey, it looks like I’m going to be heading to Aldi to get mangoes and then to the zoo!
No questions asked. You said it girl! That’s the test. Will I go WITHOUT asking questions!

Sorry that about the singleness sucking. I’ve been there. God does help! Hang in there.
Michelle, Cleveland, Oh, Solo
#1 ~ I would sing I Am, by Kirk Franklin, and since I cannot sing I would have a really great choir with me. This song really hit the nail on the head for me at this season in my life and for what I was going through when it first came out.
#2 ~ My present season is Revival, Discovery and Restoration of my spirit, my mind, emotions and my body. God is showing me who I am in Him and who he created me to be.

#4 ~ I will be a Kingdom Woman when I completely surrender to God all the past hurts and replace them with His love and healing. When I see myself as He sees me. God started me on the process 18 months ago and He has amazed me with the fact that I lost me someone along the line while I was giving to others.
Hmmmm… I may have to get that Robin Roberts book. I bet it was really good. And “I Am” is on my workout playlist. Love that!

#1. If ever given the talent, opportunity, and audience I would belt out my own rendition of Tasha Cobbs “Grace”…not only because it is a beautiful song, but because the audience would need to offer much of it to endure listening to me sing it!!
#2. Season? Does (internal) personal heatwave count…lol. Let’s see, I am a happily married mother of 5 and YAYA (grandmother) of 4. I honestly am not sure what exact season I am in however if I must have one it would be DRY…I am in need of a downpour from Heaven. Though this is a tiring season I refuse to lose my Praise.

I’m right there with you! Moving them up and out one by one 🙂
My name is Donna and I’m from Vallejo, CA. I will be participating solo.
1)I would perform Amazing Grace. Why? Because for years when I was a teenager I was out there for real and if it wasn’t for the prayers of my mother and her church family I would still be out in the world blaming God for being attempted sexual abuse.
2)I would say my current season is mentor. I want to help encourage young ladies and women in their stuggles.
3)I would say it’s a close friend of mine name Fatima. After my mom died it was she who I could go to about any and everything without her judging me. She guides me through Godly counsel.
4)I will be a Kingdom woman when I can just let go and let God do His work in my life. Sometime I’m trying to do the things myself, but I need to listen and follow His guidance.

5. Truly excited about this journey, thank you for doing this.
I’m a control freak. Glad I’m not alone.
Wow! I’m so excited. I’m Shellye, Dallas, Texas, Solo.
1. The first song that comes to mind is ‘I’d like to teach the world to sing!’ I’d want to be interactive with the audience so I wouldn’t feel awkward. Lol
2. I’m a wife, mom, mom-in-law, grandma, and womanpreneur. I think about all the hats I’m wearing and praying to find the balance I need to wear all of them well!
3. I’d have to say my newfound friend and business associate. I’ve been following her for a while and finally had an opportunity to meet and work with her and her husband. She encourages and supports me personally and in business. It has been such a blessing to be mentored by her.
4. ”I will be a Kingdom Woman when I turn my fear of failure into joy of success and bless others on the way!”
5. I have always loved Psalm 139. Knowing that I’m fearfully and wonderfully made and valued, regardless of my station in life has always given me hope beyond hope. Thanks for the reminder!
Loving the journey!
Hi Shellyeeeeeeeeeeeee! 🙂
Donelle, Easton, PA, Duo!
1. I would love to sing an original song however, I would LOVE to minister pretty much anything Kari Jobe. Lol! Okay. Okay. Seriously, I would sing “Find You On My Knees”. I LOVE that song. It sums up how I feel about being in the Presence and even though that album is based around Jeremiah 29:13, it reminds me of Psalm 91 and I know where God has brought me from.
2. Single and (99%) Satisfied (LOVE THAT SERIES!), Auntie extraordinaire, Masters student staring a new decade in the face ready to go forth! Wait….guess that was more than 10 words 🙂
3. Outside of family, a woman that has impacted my life is my first lady, Lady K. She has such a heart for God, a true worshipper, outwardly loves her family, and she’s dresses like nobody’s business. Lol. She’s so fabulous, inside and out.
4. I will be a Kingdom Women when I believe it. Spending consistent time with the Lord is key. I know I have the capacity. I just need to have enough faith to walk it out.
5. I appreciate your honesty about feeling like you may not think you look your best but it’s still not an excuse to walk out your calling/task/assignment. I’ve focused a lot on my feelings lately and need to adjust my vision to God’s goodness.
Thank you for doing this Chrystal!
Kari Jobe is a FAVORITE over here!
I have yet to see her in person. Her heart for worship is amazing. She definitely is a lady of inspiration from a distance. As Wendy Williams would say, she’s a friend in my head.
BTW, the Message version of Psalm 139….wow.
I am so excited about this book. I have been a Christian for a long time, but I am really having a revival in my heart and I’m just loving Jesus!!
Love this!
Clarissa, Fort Worth, TX–Solo
1. Greater Is Coming by Jeklyn Carr
2. Newly saved, baptism on Sept. 29, mother of 2, married almost 2 yrs, student
3. Tamela Mann—I have followed her journey throughout the years and what she does through God is truly amazing (not just being Cora)
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I learn to sacrifice anything for God(instead of trying to hold on to everything), and when I can completely put my trust in Him
Clarissa you are the second person to mention “Greater is Coming”. I’ll have to look that one up!
Yes Chrystal you most definitely have to. It’s such a beautiful song and has so much meaning. I can never quite get thru it without the tears flowing.
That is awesome that you surrendered your life to Jesus!! I will be in prayer for you with your walk.. It’s far from easy but well worth every step. Do you mind me asking how your husband accepted this decision..?! Excited for you!
Thanks Stephanie, I will definitely need the prayers. It’s so hard to keep on track especially when my mind is my worst enemy. My husband is supportive but he is not ready yet, which makes it seem harder for me. Hopefully he will follow suit but I don’t want him to just because I did, I want him to want it for himself.
Thank God that he is supportive.. And who knows.. It may take him seeing the Jesus in you in order to receive the gift of salvation. Just continue to pray for him as well and so will I… And don’t give up.. We are all a work in progress.. Just let your light shine and this is a perfect way to incorporate how to do so (Kingdom Woman) — Let God use you right where you are.. And it will be a testimony to others down the road.. I have believed in Jesus my entire life but I knew of the religious routine instead of a relationship.. It was eye opening when I found out prayer wasn’t just for 911 situations. I’ve been a rededicated born again Christian for 3 years now… And have learned soooooo much in such a short time!
Thank you so much Stephanie for your inspirational words, I don’t get that too often. I know this will be challenging but I also know that I will get through it.
Michelle, Euclid, Ohio, Solo.
1. Greater is coming- Jekalyn Carr. I know God is preparing me.
2. Would be Empty Nestor… But it looks like I will have to take custody of my 2yr old granddaughter. So I guess I will say… Starting Over with mixed emotions. Please lift me up in prayer.
3. Pastor Lisa Johnson, who met me where I was at on this journey with Christ and poured into me, and told me to ALWAYS look for the glory of the LORD no matter the situation.
4. I will be a Kingdom woman when I truly believe that all things do work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are called according to HIS purpose. Rom 8:28
5. I love that you pressed through the thought of needing to be video perfect, God says come to Him naked and unashamed. And I feel that by you doing just that we as women will be able to come naked and unashamed on this journey with you. Besides your natural beauty is beautiful and so is your spirit.
Looking forward to going on this journey with everyone and God bless you for your vision in creating it.
Prayed for you Michelle. I know lots of empty nesters having to adjusted to an unexpected season. Know that your granddaughter will be blessed by having your wisdom, maturity, and love. Thanks for your encouragement to me 🙂

Thank you
Glad to see I’m not the only step mother.. Any tips or lessons you have learned please feel free to share!
I’m also a step mom, which I’m newly married & I need tips!! It’s a little hard balancing out the relationship & determining boundaries!!
I completely agree. I think my oldest feels the difference.. She is the only one that doesn’t have the other parent involved and seeing my husband with his biological daughter makes her sad and she displays it by being mean to my step daughter which then causes tension between my husband and me.. My son and step daughter have active parents but my daughter doesn’t.. So they go and see the other parent and my daughter has to stay home.. I have tried to make up for it but I can only do so much.. It has really been an issue recently in our marriage. I try to defend my daughter and at the same time my husband doesn’t want to give her a crutch.. Difficult and heartbreaking situation.
I hear your heart Stephanie. I pray that God mends every area. I have watched a dear friend be a stepmom and the one thing that never failed was prayer. I pray that you and your husband find the secret place God has set apart in order to align your family as a unit. Blended families are not easy. I pray much strength for you.
Stephanie I also understand your cry I have 3 children and I’m a step mother to 4….I can’t even explain in words how hard blended families are. I’m going through a similar storm as we speak I’m hoping with faith in God we will get through it. I will also say a prayer for you…
Hi Ladies, I, too, am a BONUS mom with BONUS kiddos. That’s one tip I would share. We try not to use the word step. We’re gifts to one another other even though things didn’t work out with their bio parents, God saw fit to provide us with “extra” and so that’s how we look at it. Next, be all-inclusive. What you do for one, do for all. Try to not show favoritism towards any one of your children. I think it’s much easier with younger children than it is with older, but the older kids can understand you better. When my husband and I married, I had an adult child, two teens, and my youngest was six. His children were 12, 10, and nine so we had a lot going on! That was seven years ago. We had some transitioning to do, especially with my older children but we’ve grown tremendously!
Shellye,
Due to all the activity in my email I bypassed seeing this message.. along with the other ladies! I am glad I am not the only one. I am having a difficult but not impossible situation with my family.. one minute everything is ok, the next, tension fills the room. My bio daughter doesn’t have the presence of her bio dad so the only image of a father she has is my husband and he is great.. the majority of the time. There is no additional love.. its sort of like going through the motions “because I have to” at times… We take the kids many places and he provides for them without any question.. but when my step daughter who is only a year or so younger than my daughter comes around (shes 6) theres cuddling and loving and kisses and I love you this and I love you that and my daughter sees so she has become jealous of my step daughter but I see it too and I try to over look it simply because my step daughter doesn’t get to see my husband as often as the other 2 do.. and my son on the other hand (age 5) just anticipates going to see his dad and no one has tried reaching out. I have prayed and prayed and prayed… The Lord revealed to me that I have to be the one to “set the stage” be the example of love… but I can’t force the “lovey dovey” cuddle up watch a movie or anything like that between my husband and kids.. I know that is the next step so to speak and now I have just been asking for direction on exactly how to do that.
Good evening Kingdom Women!
Just had a great moment in the grocery store!!!! (We stopped in Chipotle for food, no chips at Chipotle – UGHHH!! Went into Acme) I picked up the chips, some ice and went to the check out. A cashier and another worker were talking and my ears perked up when one said, “did you listen to Tony Evans tonight?” I jumped in and said, “love him.” They turned, smiled and agreed. The cashier mentioned having done one of Priscilla’s bible studies and how enriched her life was. The other woman stated that she had just secured her copy of Kingdom Woman and she clapped her hands, excited that she was going to get to read it. I recommended the website so that she could join the one month reading challenge!!!
KINGDOM WOMEN ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!
Whooooooooooop! I love this! Thanks for sharing that with me!
Stephanie Palmer, Mt Pleasant TX *beyond thrilled and excited and a way to truly apply what I am being taught* I am doing this solo.. And maybe afterwards present it to my church family. (They aren’t too computer savy) —
If it could be any song it would be “I Smile” by Kirk Franklin or “Take me to the King” Tamela Mann
My current season – newlywed (a little over a year), mother to young children 5,6,7, preachers wife
Biggest influence would be my Pastor’s wife or my spiritual mother that began discipleship group at my church.
I will be a Kingdom Woman when I learn to balance time and patience!
Psalm 139 — defiantly scripture I need to memorize! To know that I have purpose and that I am loved surpasses everything. I always want to add I attended Desperate for Jesus and my husband attended No More Excuses this year and we had went last year also.. But this year we had about 20 men and women come with us and it was just so awesome and powerful.. I have applied what I learned and can’t wait to apply more! Learning means growing and that is what I yearn to do… I thank you for taking your time to reach out.
Welcome Stephanie! I’m learning balance too. I think it will be a life long pursuit! LOL!
I am trying to learn when to say NO and when to stop what I’m doing to focus on my children. I’m raising a blended family and have been having relationship problems with the oldest who is about to be 8 who belongs to me with the absence of her bilogical father…That is where my patience stays being tested! Hopefully I will get through the beginners course of balancing all that God has me to do at some point in my life. Seems like it is on “repeat” for the time being… But doing all I can to remain positive and during the midst of what would have been “rage” ask God what He is trying to show me?! Can’t wait for this study!

I will be a Kingdom Woman when I consistently take care of my temple, me, get rest, and have fully surrendered my finances to God so that I can use what HE has given me completely for HIS Glory
Love Meredith Sheppard. You know I’m with you on the journey to consistently take care of my temple… especially the get rest part! Oh! …. AND the surrender to God part!

1) First off to be able to perform to that large of an audience would be crazy fun!! Wish I could sing, but if I could it would have to be Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” or “Queen of the night”.
2) Single woman enjoying her family & friends while finding herself through prayer.
3) I would have to say my girlfriends. I have a diverse group of women in my life that I learn and grow from consistently.

Daughter of a single mother (my maternal grand aunt), first black lab tech in a NY Lab, went back to school in 40ties to become a nurse. 1) I am a big Whitney Houston fan so it would either be her signature song of “I Will Always Love You” or lately I have been singing Rufus & Chaka Khan’s hit of “Tell Me Something Good”….I love a good ol skool jam! 🙂
2) Single and becoming satisfied. Still a work in progress….God has big plans for me, I am just trying to get on both feet on board the plane.
3) My good friend Shakeya! She seems so well rounded and displays a good sense of balance as it relates to work, home and friends. I just admire her and support her so as she moves forward in her career.
4)I will be a Kingdom Woman when I finally stop trying to fit all the pieces together and just let God have his way with no influence by me. Really so many things are beyond my control, so there is nothing else I can do but just allow him to do his thing!

4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I get to a point where I am concerned with pleasing God rather than pleasing others.
5) Chrystal, I just want to say that it is refreshing to see you be transparent with all of us. Often times we as women are so concerned with our outward appearance. We want to be “perfect” or “just right.” We totally miss that God can and will use us just as we are right now! Again thanks for letting us in on this journey!
Girl the shower has the BEST acoustics!

#1..If I could perform at the Madison square garden, with any song, I’d def have to chose “there is power in the name of Jesus”!! Imagine how many people could be drawn to Jesus by that song, because There IS Power In the name of Jesus, and that power thru his name, and his spirit is what draws people to him, so I’d pray The Lord would anoint me as I deliver the song to the thousands of people there!
#2..New wife yearning for perseverance thru these trials & long suffering.
#3..My husbands Aunt Adela..this woman brings tears
to my eyes, I see how much she serves God & the time she spends in prayer & her word, is evident thru her fruits & the gifts she uses. She inspires me, to know that, the time we use for The Lord , is no wasted time, but true Laboring time for the kingdom!
#3..”I will be a kingdom woman when”….I do everything unto God & i use my gifts to give God glory!

#2 Young, happily married & recently became a stay-at-home mommy (man that was hard to squeeze in to just 11 words!)x-D
#3 I’m going to say a close friend of mine from church who is actually my pastor’s daughter. She is so strong, patient, and she is always pursuing the will of The Lord. I really admire her for that.
#4 I will become a Kingdom Woman once I truly know and accept who God has called/created me to be and run with it! I’m always telling myself that I’m not good enough or able to accomplish the dreams and goals I have in my head and I’m so tired of that!! I want to be bold and have the courage to do all God has planned for me to do.
#5 Thank you for being so bold and brave enough to show your natural beauty, Chrystal! I wish I was brave enough to do the same haha

Sorry I am a day behind, lost computer access yesterday.
1. If I could sing on stage in Madison Square Gardens in front of thousands it would probably be Hallelujah You Have Won The Victory. That song makes tears come to my eyes and is the first worship song to ever make me cry, it was then that I knew I was in the presence of God.
2. 30 year old mother of one, separated, searching for purpose.
3. A strong woman who has been a great Christian woman role model would be my first lady Dr. Dee Dee Freeman. I love her spirit, her drive for Jesus, her drive to help other women get there, the fact that she is down to earth, her heart of wanting to give, and the love that she genuinely has for her family and friends.

5 – When you said, “God sees you” …that alone brought me to tears right here at my desk. I know He does and I know He loves me but there was something about the power and the weight of those words TODAY that washed over me in a way they never have. God loves me, simply because I am HIS.

For starters, I’m late so here we go….
#1 I’m Every Woman – not that I’m every woman AT ALL but for some reason when I read the question as to what I would PERFORM at MSG I immediately thought of this song and my love for just dancing and having a great time. I honestly tried to come up with something more “spiritual or inspirational” but couldn’t and so after a day of thinking about this, I’m just going to commit and say that’s the song…for today..
#2 Dedicated wife and mom who is passionate about leadership and kingdom excellence; hungry for more of GOD (that’s more than 10 words but hey, it’s me).
#3 My mentor’s wife – I’ve known her years and have watched her example of grace, love and service to the kingdom. She’s an inspiration.
#4 I will be a Kingdom Woman when I just do what GOD tells me to do. No questions asked. (pray for a sista, I’m getting there).
Shar, Atlanta, GA, Solo
1. Since I’m a singer (shower singer that is), I’m actually torn between the song I would sing. I would either choose “Blessed Redeemer” by Casting Crowns or “He Still Loves Me” off the Fighting Temptations Soundtrack.
2. Married, mother of 3, lover of God, family, music, laughter, & gadgets
3. Although she doesn’t know it, my sister-in-law has been a strong female role model for me.
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I am able to minister to others using accurate accounts of the word without having to look it up.
5. What caught my attention in the video was how it is OK to “not” be perfect. We talked about that in my ladies bible study class last night. We recited these words first to another woman in the group and then to ourselves “You (I) are (am) beautiful on the inside and out.” Love it!
Sorry I’m late with posting and see you next week!

1) I would sing ‘How He Loves’ (Anthony Evans). Although I’m sure that I wouldn’t get very far into the song. I had to stop listening to it in my car, because it brings me to tears every time I hear it and am in awe of how He loves me!
2) Stay at home mom finally appreciating the joy of being a mother!!
3) Sister Roberson – she was a family friend when we lived in Colorado. She always had such a loving spirit and I can remember her talking about the call that God had on her life for working with young women. Now to see God using her (almost 20 years later) to minister to women in need is such a blessing. Her obedience to the God’s calling on her life is very encouraging to me.
4) I will be a Kingdom Woman when I realize that it is not about what I can/cannot do, but about what the Lord can do through me to glorify His Kingdom.
5) Loved the video. It was a great reminder that God is not looking for perfection from me. He is ready and willing to meet me where I’m at and walk with me as I go along in this journey. And I am very excited about the journey!!
Hi Alicia. That’s one of my favorite songs…but I’ve never heard that version. Nice! Have you heard David Crowder Band’s version? Heads up – it’s Christian rock. 🙂
Hi Shar! I had never heard that version before, but I just listened to it on YouTube and LOVE IT! Anthony’s version is still my favorite, but I’m going to share this version with my husband because he’s a big fan of Christian rock. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi, I’ve been trying to post since Wednesday, but life….
Anyway, I would sing, Beauty For Ashes because it seems like all my life, distractions have come into my life that were meant to destroy me, but God always steps in and says, no,no, she’s mine and makes all things beautiful.
I am currently in a season of divorce. I’m right in the middle of it and dealing with being a single mom and on my own again.
Joyce Meyer has been a blessing to me and an example of a strong woman who has overcome so many obstacles, but is still standing and standing tall and strong!

4. Wait – I’m NOT a kingdom woman already? Hmmm…. 😀
I am really only learning about “kingdom living” already so I guess I would say I will be a kingdom woman when I learn to really tap into the power God has given me through the Holy Spirit to live my life victoriously.
5. Haven’t listened to the video yet as I’ve had my family in here with me and I want to be alone. However, I did order the book today and it should be here on Tuesday of next week!

#1 beautiful by Kari Jobe, #2 learning to be ME not a mom not a wife just me the woman that God is calling me to be. #3 This was a very hard question for me because that woman was my grandmother, she has been my biggest role model and influence. #4 I will be a kingdom woman when I truly discover my purpose, be bold for Christ, and remove the fear that I’m not good enough which I know has been holding me back.

1) Do I have to choose just one? 🙂 I love all 3 of High School Musicals, but my favorite song is “Can I Have This Dance”. Not only would I want to sing this song I would want to dance like they do in the movie. Funny, because I can not dance like that.
2) Single mom, was single and satisfied, now single and want more, finding my way to destiny
3) Joyce Meyer has been a strong role model for me. I can relate to her in many areas of life. When I read her books I feel as if I was writing the words. When I feel like giving up I tell myself if she can do it so can I.
4) I can not answer this question. I have live a life of many years stuck in an unhealthy feminist mindset due to being raised in a single parent home. In order to keep the focus prioritize correctly my past is “my thorn in my flesh”. Learning to see God’s love for me in spite of my thorn(s) is what God has been teaching me over the last year.

May God bless your covenant commitment with His love!

1) Girl, if I could sing well, I would love to sing ANYthing in public! Preferably, something edifying, of course. 😉
2) ‘Stuck’ and going on 40. Just not where I thought I’d be at this point in life, but still holding out hope that it’ll all make sense one day.
3) I would have to say that there have been many women in my life who’ve all played a part in influencing me in ther own special ways.
4) I hope to consider myself a Kingdom Woman when I put Him back on the throne in my life and more completely reflect the love of Jesus to those around me.
Thanks for this opportunity, Chrystal! I look forward to this journey with you and all the other kindreds!
Welcome Jessica! Glad to have you!
Very few of us are exactly where we thought we would be at any given point in time in our lives. You are good. Just keeping moving forward 🙂

5. “I will be a Kingdom Woman when I throw fear, doubt and insecurity out the window!”
Welcome Kingdom Woman!!!! I feel you about the fear, doubt and insecurity…I have battled with fear. Unfortunately, my son (age 9) has the same problem. It hurts me to my heart to think that I may have allowed that spirit to attach itself to my next generation. With that, I am bound and determined for my sake and even more for my generations’ sake, to put it under my FEET ( and I have rather large ones ;). I’ll pray for you and you for me..We can and will do this!!! Read 2 Timothy 1:7, post on your door, room, office, computer, etc. Walk on peace my Sista!!!
ABSOLUTELY; For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Tim. 1:7.
Thank you and will be in prayer for you Conqueror!

2. Working on being consistent, not lazy and getting out of my own way!!
3. My role model is my bible group leader Donna Hughes. She is a strong, devoted woman of God who opens up her house every Tuesday to love on us, teach us and be an awesome example for us.

2. Current Season- Newly married blending family purpose seeking desiring to honor Christ.
3. My daughter’s Grandmother has been a role model to me. She is strong and courageous, loving and giving. She is smart and sassy and even though she has gone through some rough patches in life it has not changed her joy. While i am not a biological part of her family she has always made me feel like I was her daughter.
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I can see my-self the way God sees me no longer bound by insecurities or fear but free to be and walk in all that He has formed and predestined me for.
I am excited about this study!!
Somehow, I missed this assignment. Better late than never, right? 😉
1. Shout to the Lord… singing at the top of my lungs because that’s the only way to sing this song. 🙂
2. Happily married, mom of 3, busy, growing, being stretched by God… like I don;t know how much more I can be stretched… kind of stretch. 🙂 Struggling with exercising and eating healthy. #fatdemon
3. Beth Moore
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I surrender ALL to Jesus and obey without ?’s.
Getting a “late start” due to events the last 2 weeks but so excited to be on this journey!! I actually started reading this book when it came out, but stopped so I could go back and begin with others on this journey.
1. I would probably die of fright if I sang in front of that many people!!! AAHHHH!!! But if I did it would be a song of praise and worship… too many to choose from!!
2. My season is learning about myself, who I am (this year I had one child marry, one child…with my only grandson who I kept…move to another city, and my 3rd child graduate), and exactly what God desires for me in His kingdom. Happily married for 28 years.
3. A lady in my church who had an early influence on my life is one of my mentors… she loved unconditionally, kept your deepest secrets, made you feel loved and cherished, and loved to pray.
4. ”I will be a Kingdom Woman when I…” Hmmmm….. not sure… on the journey… I am already a ‘Kingdom Woman’ but I know I have not arrived at the earthly destination He has in store for me. Of course, I don’t know if we ever fully “arrive,” as we are constantly growing in Him (or should be) 🙂
5. My fav part of the video was where you mentioned that “no matter what we are going through, whatever’s in our path, God made us! We are His, and that’s a great starting place!” These were great words to me!!
Tara,Alexandria,VA,GROUP
1. I’d play Butterflies by Michael Jackson on my Sax!
2. I am a military wife and new mom who has transitioned from the workforce to staying at home. I am seeking God to determine what I need to do as we get ready to move to again, then again … (I have a lot of things on my heart I desire regarding this matter); and this time with a kid! Also, having to learn how to navigate life as a wife and mother as opposed to a single woman who could pretty much do what she wanted with her time. (Very thankful for being a wife and mother though and wouldn’t change anything)
3. I look up to the two First Ladies (I have two pastors lol) at my home church. They have long, strong marriages and a sustained desire to please the Lord in their lives. (Otherwise, I’d say my mom for the same reasons and then some).
4. I will be a Kingdom Woman when I … I am a Kingdom Woman! And will continue to represent that as long as God’s Word remains the final authority in my life (Even Psalms 51 when I forget that) and not culture including Christendom culture.
5. I like when you were transparent in the beginning (I did listen to the entire video though) saying you almost didn’t do the video because your hair wasn’t right (It looked fine and my first thought was how pretty your skin was).

Even though I am behind, I am starting from the beginning! I’ll catch up!
1 – I would sing Precious Lord! As a child, this song has stuck with me since I heard my Grandfather sing it, As I got older, the words came to mean so much to me. It begins my day and lets me know that He is the only One that can keep unworthy me.
