Podcast: Play in new window
Today I had the privilege of chatting with Valorie Burton. She is a bestselling author, speaker, and life coach dedicated to helping people get unstuck and be unstoppable in every area of life. I love her fresh, confident disposition and how she shares from who she is. It was a joy to speak with her and I know you will be just as encouraged as I was in hearing Valorie’s story and gleaning from her wisdom.
Valorie shares the story about how she remembers God calling her to write a book. Now 10 books later God is using her and her life story in all sorts of ways. She reminds us that we all have a purpose and can be used by God, we just need to be ready to act obediently when we are called.
Life throws different circumstances at us that we may not expect but the greatest lesson Valorie has learned is that you have to bounce back. Valorie shares, in an authentic and transparent way, her own experiences of being “knocked down” and what values she learned to embrace that enabled her to still move ahead despite life’s set backs or surprises.
Valorie encourages us today to “Go for it!” While life can get a little messy, God is always willing to be with you if you will let Him.
Highlights from Today’s Episode:

Just tuned into the podcast with Valor and I’ll be running, not walking to the nearest bookstore to check out some of her work. That conversation was meaty and I’m still chewing on it. Wow!

I’ve just listened to your podcast with Valerie Burton, and truly enjoyed it.
However, life has thrown me a curve ball , and I can’t seem to move forward. Please keep me in prayer, for I’m not sure how to or what my move should be.
Thank you,
I have always enjoyed the messages that I have heard from Valorie, but one thing that resonated with me from listening to this message is her advise on choosing to be happy right where you are now. I am in a place of “ugh” and it is uncomfortable and frustrating but if I apply what Chrystal said a while back on the Ask me Anything podcast, it would be to grasp the idea of contentment. In order to do this it is necessary to make up in my mind that I will not wait on the perfect finances, the job (fix it Jesus), the school acceptance, the graduation date, or the babies to get self-sufficient (please Lord..) but I will choose to be happy right now. Thank you for this wonderful message!!
