Podcast: Play in new window
I’m tired…
And oh so sore…
Yesterday, I ran my furthest distance yet.
18 miles.
Jesus is a way maker, let me tell ya.
But 18 is not 26 and 26 miles is what I’ll be running come December 14th.
Honestly, I’m starting to get concerned about that wall. The wall that many runners say they experience somewhere in the last quarter of their race.
I wonder if I will hit it.
I wonder what I will do to push past it.
In life we hit walls sometimes too.
What do you do when you think you’ve done enough to prepare, but still hit a wall?
Do you push through? Or do you give up and stop moving forward?
Sometimes pushing through means holding on and sticking with it. But I’ve learned that sometimes “pushing through” means that there may come a time when you have to let it go – especially when you are dealing with something that is beyond your control,
Have you given up too soon?
Or maybe you haven’t given it up soon enough?

Highlights from Today’s Episode:
“Having Faith”
- Your faith is not for the expansion of your fan base. It’s to increase your desire to follow the Father.
- Be the widow and let it go, but also be the intercessor and take it when you need to.
- Every time you push past the wall, you become stronger in your faith.

Thank you for these words today! I feel as if God sent them sealed in an envelope with my name on it. Your words encourage me to have faith and remind me, as you so powerfully said, that it isn’t over until God says it’s over. I can’t grow weary in the waiting. Thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome. Thanks for listening!
Such beautiful words. I can only say I am so proud of you. What a disciple training in your life. I am seeing God working in the hearts of His daughters and I sit and find myself smiling at what He has planned for us. Yes, we do have walls in our lives that we face – but what joy to face them knowing Jesus is right there with us – cheering us on. Oh the love of Christ.
Oh the love of Christ… without it where would I be?
I almost didn’t listen to the podcast because I’m not a runner (may have to change that one day). But I’m so glad I listened! I am going through a huge trial in my life. I thought I hit the wall and I wanted to quit. God has given me very clear instructions to stand for my marriage. Papers have been filed and could very well be finalized soon. But I know what God has told me to do and I am want to be obedient. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve seen the “wall” on numerous occasions, but I continue to punch through the wall and God is right beside me. I’m not going to q
So glad that you were encouraged to do what God has asked you to do. Our obedience to Him is never wasted.
I’m not going to quit. I am exited to see what God is going to do. Thanks for sharing. God Bless.
I sure do miss bible study! This message was so timely because this morning was one of those days where a culmination of things just made me want to throw my hands up and say forget it. I’m so tired. But God. I can’t forget where He brought me from. I can’t forget how He brought me through tougher times than this. So thank you for the wonderful reminder that it’s not over til God says it’s over and that I need to really learn how to stop holding onto things.
