Podcast: Play in new window
You asked some questions.
Today I’ll give some answers.
But here’s my disclaimer…
I am not God.
I am not the Bible.
I am not a preacher, theologian, or a saint.
I’m just Chrystal.
A girl who…
loves God…
and loves the Bible.
But I’m still not a preacher, theologian, or saint.
Keep that in mind as you listen to my answers to your questions…
In today’s podcast I will share my thoughts on questions you have submitted via social media. As I type these words, I’m wondering if I should go back and delete a few things that I said… Oh well. It’s said. Just know that I’m on a journey just like you OK?
I don’t always get it right.
In fact… I often don’t get it right and much of what I have to share comes from exactly that place – the place where I messed it up.
Listen. Enjoy. Don’t judge me.

Hi Chrystal,
I enjoyed every answer you gave, and thanks for being up close and personal with your audience!
Hi Chrystal!
Just wanted to say that I think you are lovely example of a godly woman. I discovered you a few years ago while following your sister Priscilla (she’s lovely too).
Although I am single young women without children, this podcast was on point for me. I gleaned much from the advice you gave. In particular, knowing how to ask and accept help. We as woman cannot do it all—that was great to hear.
Looking forward to more podcasts!
Hello, Chrystal,
Love the transparency it is refreshing to know as a woman we are not alone. Love the blog, but loving the podcast even more…Something about the spoken word that resonates in my spirit. Thank you.
Thanks for your honest answers today. I felt like we were chatting at Starbucks. 🙂 As a homeschool mom, I loved hearing your heart and your family’s mission to homeschool. It’s TOUGH, girl! No lie! We take it one year at a time and just like you said, homeschooling my boys has changed ME more than them. I have no doubt it’s part of God’s sanctification in my life. Thanks for the encouragement!
Amy
Could you please answer that question -How did I know my husband was the man for me?
Chrystal you are always refreshing! Thank you for always being so transparent. I absolutely love it. Could you send me a referral for housekeeping. I’m in need of assistance Chrystal…in need Sister! Thank you so much.
Another great podcast. Thanks for sharing your heart with us!
Thanks for a great podcast! Learned a good lesson about adult children 🙂
Terrific Podcast.. On certain parts i laughed out loud while at work…. but the podcast was really good . Although I have never been a single parent , i think that single parents are really strong and I have the utmost respect for all parents that home-school. And the asking for help is something that i am so glad that many of us women have learned. I will ask for help.
Oh Chrystal. I was running while listening to your podcast (im doing the couch to 5K). I laughed out loud when you announced your BIRTHDAY!! I can hardly wait for Monday! !:)
LOVE listening. keep up the great work…I really appreciate your encouraging words. I think you mentioned a book that you recommended during the podcast. I can’t remember what it was called.
I think it was about a book list for different age groups.
Honey for a Child’s Heart 🙂
What homeschooling curriculum do you use? I’m a homeschooling mom of four. As a side note,I’m also a PK (Preacher’s Kid). My father has been a full time pastor all of my life. It’s a unique position to be in and I appreciate hearing from others in who can identify. God bless you.
Hang in there. I’ll answer this question eventually 🙂
Hi Crystal,
I listened to your father regularly. I avoided listening to your messages because I felt I couldn’t relate to you, until I found out about your single parent journey. Now, I listen to you regularly and I am learning so much from your journey. Thank you for your wisdom and being open to share your life.
Thanks for listening. What made you think you couldn’t relate to me?
