Today I’m talking with author of Girl in the Song, Chrissy Cymbala Toledo.

Chrissy, daughter of Jim and Carol Cymbala of Brooklyn Tabneracle, talks with me today about what it means to cultivate a relationship with God. Chrissy is happily married and the mother of three. She ministers alongside her husband at the Chicago Tabernacle. Chrissy serves as the church’s music and women’s ministry director and is passionate about leading girls of all ages into freedom.

As a teenager, Chrissy became controlled by the lies around her and turned away from the Lord. She acknowledges that, despite her shortcomings, God has been faithful to her in giving her far beyond what she deserves. He has also given her a story, a story that has helped and continues to help girls of all ages walk in freedom. Her message is for girls to see their value in Christ and experience that freedom that has been gifted to her.

In our chat, Chrissy shares what it means to connect with God and what to do when you need a fresh touch from God. She shares what she has been doing just recently in this season of her life to cultivate her relationship with God and how she structures her quiet time.

Chrissy is convinced that when you understand the length that Christ would go for you, you won’t dismiss your value. We are His masterpiece, and if you need a reminder of that Chrissy will give it to you. Take a moment to listen to today’s podcast.
