I hope that your holidays thus far have been met with lots of happiness, togetherness and cheer. But I would be amiss to think that everyone’s holiday has only been filled with happiness.

For those of us that are grieving the loss of a loved one, the holidays come with a different kind of feeling. There is sadness. There is emptiness. There is pain.

Today I talk with my aunt, Elizabeth Cannings. She was the primary caregiver for my grandmother, who passed a little over a year ago.

We talk about the reality of loss, coping with loss and making it through, not just the holidays, but everyday, when you are walking through a season of grief.

I hope today’s podcast encourages you if you are grieving and I hope if you know someone that is grieving that you pass this along.

Let’s Talk!

  • Are you or someone you know grieving?
  • What are some practical  ways to encourage yourself or someone else during a season of grief?
  • Have a question you’d like for me to answer on a future podcast? Share your question with me HERE.

Highlights for Today’s Episode:

  • Coping with grief
  • What it means to cultivate your relationship with Christ
  • Dealing with loneliness as single person during the holidays

Share today’s show – I could use your help with getting the word out there about my new podcast.  Would you take a minute to share today’s post?  Email the link to a friend or share on social media. Can I ask you a favor?  However you found me, will you be so kind as to leave a rating on iTunes and/or write a 2-3 sentence review there or on Stitcher?  Your commentary or rating helps make the podcast more “findable” by others who might not know it exists!  Thanks in advance for your help!
