Podcast: Play in new window
So what do you do when you are sitting on a boat looking at a not-so-pretty port of call complete with concrete, cargo, & cranes?
You podcast about it, that’s what.
Ya’ll apparently I can find an illustration out of anything.
But in all seriousness, I can’t tell you how many times, I’ve been distracted by what I see when what I see is not all that exciting or inspiring. I’ve allowed what I see to determine how I prepare for my life, how I speak of my life, and whether or not I position myself for what I hope life brings my way.
I have been guilty of operating as if what I see is all there is.
And because I know, even more experientially now, how important it is to live in expectation of your life, I’d like to share with you today what that looks like practically.
Let me also remind you to register for my next online class!
I do hope that you join me on August 18th for the “Living a Life That You Love” Online Class where I will spend focused time sharing with you how I’ve done that over the years in more detail. However today’s podcast will give you great encouragement for a few simple things you can start doing right now.
Let’s Talk!
- Are you currently living a life that you love? Why or why not?
- What is one thing you can do today to prepare for, speak well of, or position yourself properly to live the life that you love?
- Have a question you’d like for me to answer on a future podcast? Share your question with me HERE.
Highlights for Today’s Episode:
- Don’t settle for what you see.
- Look with expectation to what could be as you move forward in your life.
- Learn to see beyond what’s right in front of you.

Wow wow and wow! This is exactly what I needed to hear. Im stuck in a huge rut and have just been feeling powerless of my circumstances and thinking…I know I should be doing something but what? After listening I now know what I need to be doing and in what areas of my life! It’s all preparation for the next step! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your vacation to bless me with this wisdoms! I’ll be there on the 18th so excited!!
So glad to you know you listened in and it was a blessing to you!
Yep Haleakala I love it there.
Can’t wait to come back!
You know, when people say nothing is before it’s time, it’s often hard to hear but often show itself true time and time again. I read Chapter 22 Be Your Own Best Friend in She’s All That, which also talks about the power of the tongue and the things we say in this life about our life. The fact that they coincide on the ame day is not lost on me. I’m definitely in a season of working on changing my perspective, generated largely by the way I think. Between counselling and addressing years of negative self talk which makes your see EVERYTHING from a perspective that isn’t healthy.
I really am grateful for this blog and the archives!!!
