Podcast: Play in new window
The holidays is a wonderful time of celebration.
There are lots of things to do, people to see, and places to go.
The holidays can also be a stressful time.
Enter. Mrs. Claus.
My mother, Lois Evans, is the most celebratory person I know. She has managed year after year after year to welcome the holiday season with flare, class, and complete excitement.
I figured now was as good a time as any to ask her to share her wit and wisdom to help others make their way through this wonderful time of year.
Memories are available for the making. Today’s podcast will give you plenty of ideas for making memories for yourself and those that you love.

This was GREAT!! Just what I needed as I felt the anxiety of planning for Christmas start to creep in! I was listening on my way to work this morning and my stomach started to grumble when you were talking about the food lol. I love ox tails but I don’t know how to cook them. Thank you so much for the links to the other recipes. After listening, I felt more relaxed and excited to plan Christmas based on our budget and still filled with joy and laughter.
Chryssy, thank you for everything. Enjoy your break, be safe. Will be rooting for you on the 14th.As a family we trying to break with some of the family traditions, by spending time away from home. Before that though, on the 17th I will be hosting a high tea for 15 destitute woman.
Great podcast! Listening to your mom speak got me excited about post holiday shopping to build my collection as well. Regarding traditions, I did not have any growing up but my husband did and we’ve carried on those traditions with our own family. Specific food on the menu, prayer and devotional before gifts to name a few. We are intentional about telling them about the reason for the season and they hear it from school all year long. I never wanted to introduce “Santa” but being around other children they picked it up. Still, I don’t push it on them but I have yet to tell them (4 & 7) he’s not real… I’d hate for them to crush the next kid who really does believe. So we will wait.
Have an amazing holiday and time off! Best of luck on your marathon, can’t wait to hear about it!
I was scrolling through some sites and listening to Tony Evans and found your website.
Many Blessings to Chrystal!
